Application Requirements: The Master of Public Health program at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (BSPH), in partnership with the Johns Hopkins Center for Humanitarian Health, has launched a refugee scholarship program to support one individual who has been displaced due to the conflicts in Afghanistan, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Myanmar, occupied Palestinian Territories, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela and Ukraine. The scholarship recipient will receive full tuition, while pursuing a Master of Public Health (MPH) graduate degree at BSPH).

Eligibility Criteria:

The scholarship is limited to individuals who have been granted refugee status after being displaced from Afghanistan, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Myanmar, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan,Syria, Ukraine or Venezuela, or is a registered Palestinian refugee, and:

(1) who have refugee status and are living in a country other than the applicant’s country of origin, OR

(2) who are residing in the United States: (a) under Temporary Protected Status, or (b) as an asylee, or (c) as a pending asylum applicant

The scholarship recipient will begin their studies in late June 2025 (full-time MPH program only). JHSPH requires a minimum TOEFL score of 100 or IELTS score of 7.0.

Applications are due by December 1, 2024; all required application materials are due by January 15, 2025.

International Applicants can apply for waivers for the SOPHAS application fee.
