Daniella Trowbridge

Research Associate
Daniella is an ORISE Fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the Global Health Sciences team of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases. Her work focuses on delivering training, technical assistance, and epidemiologic support to develop early warning and event-based surveillance systems to enable early detection and rapid response to health threats.
Daniella has extensive experience managing humanitarian programs and operations and advising NGOs working in complex humanitarian emergencies. Her fieldwork across 25 countries has primarily focused on Latin America, East and North Africa, and the Middle East with a focus on humanitarian public health interventions, cash-based transfers, food security, and WASH.
Her research activities at the Center for Humanitarian Health have included projects on large-scale outbreak preparedness for NGOs in humanitarian contexts, including COVID-19 program adaptation, and analyzing infectious disease outbreaks in humanitarian contexts.
She holds an MSc in NGOs and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science and an MPH from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where she focused on professional epidemiology and infectious diseases.
