Partnerships

The Center for Humanitarian Health's (CHH) mission is to build capacity to meet the needs of refugees, displaced persons, and persons affected by humanitarian emergencies and disasters. To accomplish its mission, CHH partners with non-governmental organizations, national governments and their agencies, international agencies, and academic institutions.

CHH works with its partners to develop, inform, and coordinate on-the-ground responses to current emergencies and build capacity to respond to future emergencies. Programs are designed to:

  • Assess health care needs in populations affected by emergencies
  • Design and implement research to monitor and evaluate crisis preparedness and response
  • Set up systems to monitor current relief efforts and healthcare
  • Assist in developing and implementing health care systems and emergency preparedness plans
  • Provide training to medical, nursing, public health, and community health workers, with a focus on the delivery of emergency and public health care
