Andrew is an Assistant Scientist in the Department of Epidemiology. His work focuses on understanding the spatio-temporal dynamics of enteric pathogens and strategies to best control outbreaks. In addition, Andrew works on methods for estimating intervention effects, particularly for vaccines, with observational study designs. Andrew collaborates extensively with Médecins Sans Frontières and plays an active role in the WHO-led Global Taskforce for Cholera Control. Andrew earned his PhD in epidemiology and MHS in biostatistics from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Before coming to Johns Hopkins, he received his B.S. and M.S. in Environmental Engineering from University of Colorado and practiced as an engineer.
