David Tellez holds an MSPH in Global Disease Epidemiology and Control from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, along with certificates in Humanitarian Health, Vaccine Science and Policy, and Evaluation - International Health Programs. His past work includes consulting with the World Health Organization’s Health and Migration Programme to develop the first WHO global report on the health of refugees and migrants as well as conducting performance evaluations for USAID/Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance’s response to COVID-19 in humanitarian contexts. With the Center for Humanitarian Health, David has supported qualitative research on the conditions migrants face while in US detention, the inclusion of migrants and refugees in COVID-19 policies throughout Latin America and is currently coordinating a follow-up report on migration in collaboration with the Lancet Commission on Migration and Health.
